Goldie Lee Andrews

Goldie Lee Andrews, beloved wife of Nick Chris Andrews and loving mother, is survived by five of her seven children (John Day, Gloria Anderson, Joan Barnes, Joyce Baldwin, Edna Andrews), eleven of twelve grandchildren (Betty, Melvin, Shawnda, Donna, Lynn, Kevin, Rex, Dale, Deborah, Carl, Jennifer), and many great and great-great grand children. Goldie, originally from Linden, Texas, lived in Mobile, Alabama from the mid-1950s until her husband’s death in 2010. She worked as a cosmetologist for over forty years.

Goldie will be remembered for her unbounded generosity and kindness to all with whom she came into contact. She loved with all her heart her family, church, and community and devoted her entire life to making a difference for them. Her daughter, Joyce Baldwin, has been taking care of Goldie since she left Mobile in 2010. It is because of Joyce that Goldie’s family was able to enjoy so many wonderful years with their mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016, at the Community of Christ Church at 672 Azalea Road, Mobile, AL 36609 from 2 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. funeral service.
