

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Myrtle Ford Brannan; his first wife, Patricia Wise Brannan and three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gladys Davidson Brannan, of Mobile; sons Jeffrey G. Brannan(Robbie) of Spanish Fort, Randall S. Brannan (Melanie) of Bay Minette, Timothy P. Brannan of Butler, AL ; daughters Robin M. Doggett (Gary) of Silas, AL and Tonya H. Scott of Mobile; Grandchildren C. Jacob Spann(Erica), Turner J. Spann, A. Caroline Brannan and Andrew R. Brannan of Bay Minette, Paden K. Doggett (Jada) and Brannan P. Doggett of Silas, AL, Justin P. Brannan and April K. Norwood(Stan) of Butler, AL, and Andrew E. Scott and Alexander G. Scott of Mobile.
great grandchildren Jaden M. Doggett and Paysen L. Doggett of Silas, Al and Olivia C. Spann , Trenton J. Spann and Elizabeth C. Spann . One sister Mae B. Tanner of Mobile and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Greydon graduated from Semmes High School and attended Auburn University. He returned home to accept a position with Alabama Power Company, where he was employed for almost 40 years. The Wilmer native began his career as a member of the Tree Crew. He advanced to Line Crew, the Engineering department, Distribution Specialist and eventually Management. He became Manager of the Butler, Alabama location. While living in Butler he was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and was involved in the Lions Club, Rudder Hill Hunting Club, his church choir and served on the Board of Directors of United Security Bank. His passion was with any and all sports activities in which his children participated. He volunteered countless hours with Little League and served as coach for several years.
In 1991, he married the former, Gladys Davidson Hollingshead and relocated to Mobile upon retirement. He and his wife were active in Dauphin Way United Methodist Church, where he served as usher and volunteered with Meals On Wheels for over 18 years. They were also members of Supper Club 15. They enjoyed time with their grandchildren and loved to travel until his health begin to decline. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend.

A celebration of life will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 4:00p.m. The family will receive friends from 3:00- 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children or St. Luke's Episcopal School, 1400 University Blvd., Mobile, AL., in his name.
