Harvey was born in New York, New York in 1937 son of Julius and Sarah Saffron.
Harvey proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Following Harvey's honorable discharge from the Unites States Marine Corps he went on to attend Long Island University where he received his BS degree in Business.
Harvey had the opportunity to see the world as he served his country aboard the newly commissioned USS Saratoga CV-60.
Harvey was a good father and good husband always putting our needs in front of his own. He will truly be missed.
In addition to his wife Grette, Harvey is survived by his son Edward (Kim), his granddaughter Shelby of Girard, PA, and sisters Barbara Burgess of Stony Brook, NY, and Eileen Lieber of Fayetteville, AK.
Those that knew Harvey know he hated being fussed over and would much rather give than receive, subsequently there will be no funeral services. In lieu of services please take this opportunity to remember the happy times.
