

Hattie Hagar Osborne Doggett – 95, born in Clarke County, AL on June 22, 1919, and a longtime resident of Mobile, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a 1939 graduate of Murphy High School and member of the “Murphy High 39ers.” She retired from International Paper Company in 1982 after 33 years of service. She loved her family very much and always provided for them in every way. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making her dishes for family and friends.
Mrs. Doggett was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Wade and Randall Osborne; four brothers; three sisters; four infant sons; and one grandson, Samuel David Doggett. She is survived by two sons, James Walter Doggett (Delores) and Charles David Doggett (Beverly) and a daughter, Ann Doggett Lawrence all of Mobile; seven grandchildren, Mark Jeffrey Doggett (Sherry), Lori Renee May (Chris), Michael Dewayne Doggett, Terry Lynn Lawrence (Ginger), and Bradley Preston Lawrence, all of Mobile, Connie Lawrence Easterling of Merrimack, NH, and Christopher Scott Lawrence of Canton, GA; ten great-grandchildren; and two great, great-grandchildren.
The family chooses to recognize the entire staff of Gulf Coast Health, formerly Cogburn, on Grelot Road, for their outstanding care of “Miss Hattie” or “Granny” as they called her. The Nurses and Aides loved her and gave her the utmost care, attention, and devotion, and they have all become a part of our lives. The family will forever be indebted to these wonderful people.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the service hour.
