

Helen Gray Lee, 90, of Theodore, Alabama, passed away peacefully in Picayune, Mississippi, with her sister Jeanne and family by her side. Born in Lester, West Virginia, Helen lived a long and fulfilling life centered around family, faith, and caring for others.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William (Bill) Lee; her son Michael Blankenship; her daughter Diane Carnley; and four sisters: Kathleen Gray, Ova Barnett, Peggy Dillard, and Zella Lancaster. two brothers, Willard Gray and Robert Gray Jr..
She is survived by two children, David Blankenship and Blanche Rogers; her son-in-law Jerry Carnley; her sister, Jean Holcomb; and her cherished grandchildren: Jeremy Carnley (Pattie), Stephanie Holmes, Jennifer Rogers, Brandy Rogers, Ricky Rogers, and Andrea Cranford. She also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will deeply miss her.
Helen devoted 53 years of her life working a Morrison’s Cafeteria in Mobile, Alabama. She found great joy in baking, cooking, and entertaining family and friends. Helen was also a generous supporter of many charities and an active, long-term member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Mobile. A native of West Virginia. Helen raised her children in Theodore, Alabama, and her legacy of love and kindness will shine through those who knew and loved her.
Visitation for Helen will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, Alabama, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
