It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Helen Arlene Miller, who passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by her family in love.
Born on Saturday, August 19th, 1950, in Muskegon, Michigan. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, sister, daughter, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many.
Helen will be remembered for her bold, lively personality, kindness, sense of humor, and her undeniable strength. She brought an abundance of light and love to those who surrounded her, leaving
behind beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
She is survived by her children Chris (Tara) Miller, Seth Miller, Sarah (Michael) Thornton; her four grandchildren, Kirsten (Randall) Chestang, Jenna Miller, Izen Thornton, and Lilli Thornton. As well as
five siblings, Coral Pego, Deb DeLora, Bill Passage, Russell Pierce, and David Pierce. As well as her long-term friend Ladye Sayne and numerous other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Terry D. Miller. Along with her beloved grand-dog Bull, her parents Max and Bertha Passage, and two brothers, Terry Passage and Mike Pierce.
Though she may no longer be with us in person, her love, memories, and legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services
The funeral will be held Friday, September 25th, 2026, at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Visitation will begin for extended family and friends at 8:30 AM, with a service following in the chapel at 10 AM.
There will be a graveside service to follow at Pine Crest West Cemetery.
