Helen Ruth Burgess Brooks

Helen Ruth Brooks –Our angel mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 3, 2011. She was 92. She was a native of Girard, OH and a longtime resident of Mobile. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1966; their son Bobby in 2004; and her 2nd husband, Raymond Brooks of Citronelle, AL. She is survived by her children, Rochelle (Ron) Heubach, Maurice (Becky) Brooks, Paulette (Rick) Kendrick and Stephanie Brooks; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Brooks; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step-children, Raymond Brooks, Jr. and Bobby (Tawni) Brooks; 4 great-step-grandchildren; 2 great-great-step-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home Monday from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. She was a beautiful Christian and a loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
