Helen Wright

A native of Macon, Mississippi, and a resident of Mobile for many years, Helen was a member of the Regency Church of Christ. Affectionately known as MeMe by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, she was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Francis Hill and Winnie Davis Hill, husband William W. (Bill) Wright, their daughter Deborah Ann Groom, 6 brothers Bennie, Joseph, Cary, Randolph, Cecil, and Lynn.

MeMe is survived by her son William Michael Wright (Polly) of Mobile, son-in-law Jeff Groom of Mobile, one sister Evelyn McArthur (John) of Macon, Mississippi, five grandchildren Leslie Groom Holberg, Julie Groom, Brian Groom (Melanee), Margie (Brian)Busby of Knoxville, Michael Wesley Wright (Kristi) of Knoxville, ten great-grandchildren, Kamryn and William Busby, Jacob and Benjamin Holberg, Victoria, Hannah, Mikela, Elizabeth, and John Wesley Wright, and Deborah Anne Wright; her sisters-in-law Catherine Hill, Dovie Ann Hill, Donna Hill, and innumerable nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation for Helen will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow in the Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
