Helga Steinmeyer Kuppersmith

Helga Steinmeyer Kuppersmith - Born April 8, 1930, in Berlin, Germany and a long time resident of Mobile, died Friday, September 17, 2010, at her home. She worked for many years as the jewelry manager at Atlantic Mills and was a member of Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Fred James Kuppersmith; her son, Robert Stephen Kuppersmith; and her parents, Erwin and Margot Timm Steinmeyer. Survivors included three children, Raymond (Sandy) Kuppersmith, Randy (Sandra) Kuppersmith and Kathy Kuppersmith (Randy) Torbert; thirteen grandchildren, Amy Marie Kuppersmith, Raymond Scott (Julie Ta) Kuppersmith, Kelly Helga Kuppersmith (Raymond, Jr.) Pitts, Ashley Margot Kuppersmith, Michael Damien Kuppersmith, Randy James Kuppersmith, Rebecca "Becky" Marie Kuppersmith, Brittany Helga Kuppersmith, LeAnne Margot Kuppersmith, John Brandon Kuppersmith, Evan Earl (Tori) Torbert, Garrett Erwin Torbert, and Hannah Rebekah Torbert; eight great-grandchildren; her devoted caregiver, Samantha Hendrix; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, September 20, 2010, at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be Sunday, September 19, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com
