
Henry F. Dyson, an 87 year old native of Grove Hill, AL and a resident of Mobile for the past 69 years, departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Dyson was a survivor of the Pacific War against Japan, he served his country with distinction ferrying his fellow countryman to wet landing on foreign beaches under the hail of enemy fire. He parlayed his service time into a career in Civil Service as an Aircraft Mechanic after 20 years of service to his country. He worked the final fifty years of his life building, repairing & helping. He was preceded in death by his father & mother, Oscar and Rosie Dyson; two brothers, Coma & Oscar Dyson Jr; son in law, Clifford Jackson, Jr. Mr. Dyson is survived and will be missed by his wife of 64 years, Katie House Dyson; two daughters, Patricia Jackson, Rhonda Dyson; his granddaughter, Dana Melnyk (Michael); great grandchildren, Madeline & Charles Melnyk and a host of family and friends whose lives were made all the more richer by his loving care and generous spirit. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until the service hour.
