
Honor Dueitt, Jr. - age 76, a native and resident of Mobile, AL passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at home. He was a Past President of the MCMA (Mobile Country Music Association). He retired from Sumlin Construction Company. Mr. Dueitt was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Huckabee Dueitt; father, James Honor Dueitt, Sr.; mother, Myrtle Ethel Pritchard Dueitt; and brother, Donald Doyle Dueitt. He is survived by his wife, Edna Kern Dueitt; daughter, Sandra Dueitt (Johnny) Brinkley; son, Bobby Eugene Dueitt; step-daughter, Julie Sullivan (Stephen) Broom; step-son, Wayne (Donna) Sullivan; brothers, Ronald Dueitt and Jerry (Irene) Dueitt; sisters, Dorothy Hall, Delores (Charles) Whiddon, Katherine (Charles) Havens, JoAnn (Jerry) Weinshenker, Joyce (Earl) Roberts and Gloria (Arvil) Hughes; grandson, Daniel Wayne Brinkley; step-granddaughter, Casey Broom; step-grandson, Cody Broom.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
