Howard "David" Stewart, Sr.

Howard “David” Stewart, Sr. - Age 83; a native Mobile, AL died Wednesday, July 31, 2019. David joined the U. S. Army at age 17. He later transferred to the U. S. Air Force and retired with 20 years of service. After the Air Force, he returned to Mobile, received his MBA from the University of South Alabama and enjoyed a second career with the U. S. Department of Agriculture. David loved his family, motorcycles and hot rods. He was preceded in death by his mother, Genevive M. Frake; his father, Howard M. Stewart; his sister, Sally S. Hiles; and his son, Howard David Stewart, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margarita Stewart; four children, Angela (Wayne) Ringelberg, Michael (Jessie) Stewart, Mark (Khristie) Stewart, and Jennifer (Geoffrey) Conrad; seventeen grandchildren, Cain, Brian, Landon, Aubrey, Nathan, Lindsey, Wesley, Jack, Gabel, Macie, Dillan, Grayson, Spencer, Gavin, Anderson, Cora and Molly; two sisters, Linda (Bubba) Mathers and Gerry Jean (Butch) Clark; nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Our Savior Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at Our Savior Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
