

Jack Allen Tomberlin – a 65 year-old native and resident of Mobile passed away in New Orleans, LA on Monday, October 6, 2014. He was the former owner and operator of The Tomberlin Insurance Agency. Mr. Tomberlin was a veteran of the United States Navy Submarine Service and a member of Dauphin Island Baptist Church and attended Luke 4:18 Fellowship. He was a longtime volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America at numerous levels and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cook Earl Tomberlin and Huldah Holston Tomberlin. A wonderful husband, father and Poppa, he is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Edwards Tomberlin; daughters, Allyson Tomberlin Blankenship (Chris), Mindy Tomberlin Tillman, and Abby Tomberlin Martin (Tony); grandchildren, Kelsey, Brey and Anna Kate Blankenship, Adam, Lauren, and Madison Tillman, and Kyleigh Martin; mother-in-law, Sarah Edwards; sister-in-law, Betty Jackson (Keith); and brother, Jimbo Tomberlin.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 6 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be held in Barrancas National Cemetery on Friday, October 10, at 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Patrick F.
