Jackson A. Tharpe, 82, was born on October 27, 1939, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Marshall and Helen Hamilton Tharpe. Called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Jack passed on December 13, 2021, surrounded by his beloved family in the comfort of his own home in Mobile, Alabama.
Jack served this grateful nation through services with the US ARMY. He worked for many years with Mobile County Public Works as a Supervisor. Jack always enjoyed riding horses and soaking up the great outdoors.
Jack was preceded in passing by his parents; one son, Randy Tharpe; and one sister, Margaret Hamilton.
Left to cherish Jack’s wonderful memories will be his five children: David Tharpe and wife Jodi, Jack Tharpe and wife Belinda, Johnnie Tharpe and wife Rhonda, Heidi Tharpe Ladnier, Jacquilyn Tharp Wright and husband William along with extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation, Friday, December 17, 2021, at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphine Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 5251 Grand Bay Wilmer Road S., Grand Bay, Alabama 36541.
