Jacqueline Jane Seaman Spruill, 75, of Chickasaw, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 2nd 2021. Jackie was born in Pasadena, California, on December 20, 1945, to Harry Arthur Seaman and Marjorie Ruth Hendricks Seaman. After Jackie graduated from Vigor High School in 1964, she went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama in 1985, and eventually earned her Master’s Degree in 1995. In 1999 Jackie obtained her Master Certification in School Library Media Specialist, and served in that position at Chickasaw Elementary School until her retirement in 2006. Jackie served 21 years as an educator within the Mobile County Public School System at Chickasaw Elementary School. She was extremely passionate about educating and inspiring future generations. After retirement, Jackie pursued her love of baking, arts and crafts, sewing, scrapbooking, and was an active member of the Chickasaw Senior Citizens group where she volunteered to teach arts and crafts. The most important part of Jackie’s life was her faith in Jesus Christ, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Her family was her soul focus, pride and joy. Jackie was the most amazing mother, grand-mother, and friend. She was always loving, supportive, and kind. She loved to laugh and was incredibly witty. She saw the good in everyone and the joy in every moment. She loved our Military and Public Servants dearly. Jackie did more than just live, she contributed back to this world and truly made it a better place for so many. She will be missed more than words can describe.
Jackie is preceded in death by her brother Gregory Seaman, and her parents, Harry and Marjorie Seaman. She is survived by her son, Mark Spruill (Susan); her daughter, Elaine Spruill (Sherri); three grandchildren, Mikayla, Joshua and Hannah; and one great granddaughter, Brinleigh.
