Mr. James "Jimmy" Franklin Bates a native of Mobile and a resident of Wilmer, AL died on Tuesday October 7, 2014 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Bates, and his father Frank Bates. Mr. Bates is survived by his three sisters Louise (Edward) Armistead of Semmes, AL, Brenda (Dennis) Daw of Mobile, AL, and Kathy (Lugene) Vickers of Chickasaw, AL, three nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from First Baptist Church of Wilmer on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 11AM. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10 until 11AM. Interment will be in Howell Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
