

James "Jimmy" Peter Francia, age 57, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Jimmy was born September 7, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to Judith Ann Paukovitz Francia and Donald Ted Francia. Jimmy was the owner of Francia’s Formal Affair and was a Jaguar baseball player as well as a graduate of the University of South Alabama. He was a member of a local Mobile Mystic Society. He was also a very active member in Pathway Church.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Biggs Francia; son, Dominick James Francia (Jennifer); daughter, Angela Lynn Francia (Benjamin Reynolds); sister, Donna Cumberland (Randy); brother, Dean Francia (Ty Lovette); brother, Joey Francia; brother, David Francia (Jessica) and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ted Francia and mother, Judith Ann Paukovitz Francia.
Jimmy was one of a kind! He never met a stranger, he was fun, friendly and outgoing; Anyone around him recognized that. He worked hard to provide for his family and his top priority was always his wife, Linda, and his children, Dominick and Angela. He was the life of the party and at the same time the perfect example of a hardworking businessman. Jimmy was an avid golfer and sports fan and loved coaching baseball. He was very involved with the community and supported local businesses as well donated to local charity events.
A celebration of life for Jimmy will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606, with memorial starting at 6:00 p.m. Jimmy's family invites anyone who can not attend the memorial to join them Tuesday evening via live stream at www.facebook.com/RadneyMobile.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Jimmy Francia Foundation. This nonprofit organization has been established by the family to carry on Jimmy’s Legacy, which will raise money in the sports and fitness community working with the youth, as well as assisting small businesses in need during difficult times. www.thejimmyfranciafoundation.org
