My heart is saddened to learn of Lyn passing.  I've know him 35 years. His family and he were very kind to me when  I moved to Mobile and remained in  touch years later. .even after I  moved away.  Lyn always wanted to be the father and man his father was. ..and he achieved that. Our last conversation was about his children as they always were..it wasn't a goodbye, just till we meet again...He was a loyal friend and good man. He loved his family.  Our loss was heaven's gain..until we meet again my friend. .God's love and peace to your family.

I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Lyn Givens, but I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with several members of the Givens family.  I would like to express my deepest sympathy and condolences.

I knew Lyn as a business associate and friend and thought him a good man. I am sorry for your loss and will keep the family In My prayers.

So sad to hear of Lyn's passing. Lyn's contribution to  process control sales and the ISA are inmeasurable and I am proud to call him my friend and colleague.

I have worked with Lyn for over 20 years. He has always been a man of integrity that could be trusted, and very knowledgeable in the area of process controls and instrumentation. If there was a problem that you couldn't solve, you could always call Lyn - even if he didn't get the sale, he gladly help with problem solving. I respected Lyn and was proud to call him my friend. For as long as I can remember Lyn has been a person to look up to.  As a young girl I remember sitting in the porch swing at our grandparents home in Yellowpine with so many of our cousins running around playing.  Lyn had a special way of touching people that only those who knew him could have experienced.  Thankfully, I had the pleasure of being one of so many.

I first meet Coach Givens at Municipal Park. He really had a passion for working with the youths at Municipal. He will be dearly missed.

To the Lyn Givens family, Lyn was a most gracious competitor, and friend. I have been praying for his healing through his ordeal. He is missed by his friends, and fellow industrial salesmen.

I am very saddened by Lyn's untimely passing. Lyn's contributions of public service to his family, church and his profession is remarkable. I have known Lyn for many years and worked with him in a professional capacity and on our ISA board. Lyn was very instrumental in getting the ISA Mobile Section back on a successful road. He would travel from Panama City to Mobile and still make the ISA meeting.  If you had an process control application and he could not specify the product due to certain reasons, he would help in anyway as an application engineer if you had questions. Lyn you are and will always be a great friend will be sadly missed by all.

Lyn was a good man and I had the pleasure watching him make an impact on the lives of children through his efforts in the Upward basketball program a few years back.  He is missed by many.

Anyone who has spent any time with Lyn realizes how great his gift has been for helping others.  Long ago, his older sons came to me for football instruction.  For the past decade, he has been the driving force behind the football clinic I run in Mobile the Saturday before Senior Bowl.  As such, he has been a part of the empowerment of dozens of area teens to reach their full potential academically and athletically.  For his younger sons, he has been  a strong, positive presence and the kind of father who takes time for all the small things.  His energy has been boundless, even when his health was challenged.  What a loss!  And what a flood of lasting memories his name inspires!   I hope the family members realize how much he has meant to those of us who have been fortunate to share time with him in recent years.  Be at peace, for he has been a good and faithful servant whose work will continue.
