James Rufus Johnson, age 87, a native of Montgomery, AL and resident of Mobile died March 20, 2017. He was a Marine Corps Volunteer during Korea and enjoyed a long career as an Inspector with the US Customs Service. He is survived by his wife Yvonne White Johnson, three children Leigh Ann Johnson, James Philip (Kim) Johnson, LTC. US Army and Richard Spencer (Lynn) Johnson. Grandchildren Wm. Spencer Johnson, James Philip Johnson , Jr., Lawrence Coig and Katherine Coig. Funeral will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10am at Little Flower Catholic Church, visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church or Marine Corp League.
