Mr. James J. Kemp died on Friday, September 27, 2013. He was born in Clarke County, Mississippi on October 1, 1919, and had been a resident of Mobile, Al since January, 1942. Mr. Kemp was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific Theatre. He was a professional construction engineer and land surveyor for more than 40 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca F. Kemp and son, James J. Kemp, Jr.. He is survived by several nephews, nieces and a few old good friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday in the funeral home chapel.
