James Dewey Moss Sr.

James was born June 22, 1936 in Colbert County Alabama. A former resident of Florence, AL and Humble, TX. James Moss had a successful career in the oil & gas industry that allowed him to travel the world. He had a large passion for his family, God and golf!

Jim was survived by his sons James D. (Melissa) Moss, Jr. Of Baytown, TX and Christopher and daughter in law Karen Moss of Fairhope, AL; children, Pat Rogers, Steve Carter, Lisa McNutt; grandchildren, James (Sarah) Moss III, Christopher Nealee (J.D.) Hebert, Jordan (Jackie) Moss, Mary Catherine (Joel) Poe, Anna Taylor Moss, Crystal Barrow, Emily (Cass) Hann, Jamisen Sullinger, Ritchey Eddy; 9 great grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Moss is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Edna Moss and his mother Gladys V. Moss.

A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Jubilee Baptist Church, 9264 Pleasant Road, Daphne, AL. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Jubilee Baptist Church, 9264 Pleasant Road, Daphne, AL. Interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne, AL.
