Jan Elizabeth Ward Belanger, 65, born September 14, 1952 in Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. Jan was the owner operator of the His & Her Hair Center, Mobile, Alabama. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Mobile, Alabama. Jan loved her clients and they became friends, not just clients. She loved her family, friends and enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with them. She loved animals especially cats. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Billie Ward. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband for over 15 years, Joseph Belanger; children, Kelley Belanger Butler (Greer) and Shana Belanger; grandchildren, Bailey Belanger, Meggie Belanger , Joseph Belanger, Hutton Butler, Griffin Butler and Greer Butler; sisters, Brenda Wirstrom and June Balmer; nieces, Shae Shamp and Dana Day; great nieces, Heidi Shamp, Anniston Shamp and Cayle Marcet and a special friend and caregiver Ida Bell Williams. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL. In Lieu of Flowers memorials in Jan’s memory may be made to the Cat Coalition. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com
