Mr. Jan Bishop Strode, age 72, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, James S. and Lena Huffman Strode, brother, Jerry Strode and sister JoAnne K. Kasper. Mr. Strode was retired from the Mobile County School System after many years of service. He taught fifth grade for over 26 years at Baker and Collier Elementary Schools. He was a native of Wisconsin. Mr. Strode is survived by his nephew Paul Kasper and wife Nancy, of Mobile, AL and niece, Shelli Kasper Gagnon and husband, Jimmy of Vero Beach, Fl. He is also survived by other family and many friends. No services have been scheduled at his request. Memorial donations may be offered to Little Sisters of the Poor..
