Jeanette Jackson

Jeanette Jackson, age 85, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mazie Helton O’Gwynn. Mrs. Jackson retired after over 30 years as an office manager with the Alabama State Employment Service. She was a longtime member of Woodridge Baptist Church. Her family will remember her strong independence and love of family. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her children; Stephen R. Jackson (Dana), Kathy Sheppard (Barney) and Trish Mears (Wendell). She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Oberkirch, brother, William Robert O’Gwynn (Judy), six grandchildren; Jennifer Stevens (Joe), Jenelle McElroy (Rance), Morgan Mathison, Jayne Jackson, Melissa Gardner, Amy Jackson and five great-grandchildren; Mac, Anna Marie, Byron, Makalynne and Trey. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
