Jeffrey Banks Hollis

Jeffrey Banks Hollis died peacefully Tuesday morning, March 14, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Jeff was born in Mobile, AL to Dr. Charles Jonathan Hollis and Eleanor Frances Banks Hollis. He graduated from St. Paul’s Episcopal School, attended The University of Alabama, and graduated from The University of South Alabama. Jeff was an active member at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church and a longtime employee at the Mobile Infirmary. Jeff is proceeded in death by his father, Dr. Charles Jonathan Hollis. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Frances Banks Hollis, brother, Charles Jonathan Hollis, Jr., sisters, Eleanor Jane Hollis, Julie Hollis Baker (Brent), Frances Hollis Melton (Adam), nieces, Anne Rucker Shields (Thomas), Sara Frances Sears, Katie Rucker Edwards (Matthew), Hannah Rucker Henage (Tyler), Catherine Rebecca Melton, Eleanor Elizabeth Melton, Frances Helene Hollis, seven great nieces and a great nephew. Jeff will be remembered for his compassion and love for his family and friends. Funeral services honoring Jeff will be held on Monday, March 20, at 12:00 pm at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in McGowin Hall one hour before the service.
