Jennifer Leigh Harris

Jennifer Leigh Harris - age 35 passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012, from a car accident. Jennifer was a resident of Semmes. Jennifer attended MGM High School and was a graduate of Springhill College with a Masters Degree from the University of South Alabama. Jennifer was a dedicated teacher with Mobile County Public Schools. She was an Azalea Trail Maid Sponsor for Williamson High School. Jennifer was a very giving person who dearly loved her family, friends and students. Jennifer enjoyed being with her family, especially her mother. Jennifer was an avid reader who enjoyed historical novels. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Bess Shofner of Mobile and Edward B. Harris Sr. of Mobile. Jennifer is survived by her loving mother, Janice, and step-father, Johnny R. Ross; father, Shannon C. Harris, and step-mother, Charlene Harris; brother, Chris Harris (Jennifer); grandmother, Julia Harris; one niece, Farley; twin nephews, Chase and Anderson; step-brothers, Joel Ross (Joni) and Andy Rice (Elizabeth); step-sisters, Jennifer Gorum (Mike) and Amanda Jersild (Larry). Visitation Thursday, February 2, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Mobile. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jennifer Harris W.H.S. Trail Maid Fund at any First Community Bank branch.
