She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Alvin Britton Woodham and Barney Monroe Woodham, Jr.
Jewell was married to her sweetheart 63 years; William (Billy) Merrill Faircloth (deceased). She was a daughter, sister, friend, wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother all of which was her delight. She was a Christian and was saved at the age of 24. She Was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church for 50 years and later became a charter member of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in 2002.
After staying home for 18 years raising her children, before entering the business world, first working for a local church, then for a bank, and finally working 30 years for Ed Baumhauer architect in Mobile.
Upon retirement in 1995 she and Billy enjoyed visiting their children and seeing part of America.
Jewell raised four sons; William M. Faircloth, Jr. (deceased) and Becky; Donald A. Faircloth and Tracey; Ronald M. Faircloth (deceased); Joel M. Faircloth and Janet;
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ashley (Charles) Caldwell; Chris (Deb) Faircloth; Paige (Andy) LeGrande; Craig (Desiree) Faircloth; Justin (Fran) Faircloth; William IV (Whitney) Faircloth; Natalie Faircloth. Eleven great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jay, Ethan, Andrew, Haylie, Max, Caddy, Madeleine, Liam, Sadie, and Lucy. One great-great-grandchild, Beau.
A graveside service will be Monday 11:00 at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
