

Jimmie "Peanut" Mauldin Jr., was a native and resident of Mobile. He transitioned life on March 30, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Huse Brown, father, Jimmie Mauldin and countless others he cherished.
He was a 1968 graduate of Williamson High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from ELF Atochem after 30 years of service. He was a member of New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was a staunch advocate for the entire family.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved and devoted wife of 52 years, Roberta Johnson Mauldin; three daughters, Iris (Eric) Jackson, Sugar Hill, GA, Monee Mauldin, Birmingham and Danielle Mauldin, a devoted caretaker; son, Jimmie Mauldin III, Mobile; nine grandchildren, Eris Jackson, Raven Mauldin, Yaven Mauldin, Jadyn Jackson, Jimmon Mauldin, Jamel Mauldin, Autumn Campbell, Myla Mauldin and Nia Hill; four great grandsons; a beloved sister, Jacquelyn Carmichael; two brothers-in-law, Robert Johnson and Larry Drummond, a devoted caretaker; four sisters-in-law, Cora Monroe, Tampa, FL, Rep. Barbara Drummond, Jean Potter and Denise Drummond; loving neices, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
Visitation is set for Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral services at 11 a.m. at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2756 Old Shell Road, Mobile AL, with Pastor Clinton Johnson officiating. Interment in Pine Crest Cemetery. Family extends an appreciation to Kindred Hospice. Covid-19 protocol will be followed, with mask compliance.
