Joan Burton Wigley

On Sept 16, 2018, Joan Burton Wigley sloughed her earthly shell to transition to that great garden in the sky. She is survived by her only child, Christopher Bryant Wigley, daughter-in-law Iryna Vishneuskaya Wigley, granddaughter Olivia Joan Wigley, brother-in-law Jimmy Wigley, and his wife Jane Wigley. Although not her immediate family, albeit one-and-the-same, she is also survived by two corporeal angels on Earth, Janice Mundy and Angela Palmer. Lastly, she is survived by her much-loved nephews, David Davidson, John Davidson, Roger Davidson and Scott Davidson.

Joan was a incomparable mother, faithful and supportive wife, loyal sister, beautiful role model, consummate gardner, insatiable reader, avid coffee-drinker, and the most loving and sincerest friend to all. She left an indelible mark on everyone she knew and encountered. Although she will always be with us in spirit, where her earthly presence once occupied a warm nook in our hearts, there now exists an empty place that can never be fulfilled.
