

Fredrick Joseph (Joe) Wagner passed away at a local hospital on January 5, 2017. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Pat) C. Wagner, his two children Kimberly Wagner Perry and Kyle Joseph Wagner, his son-in-law Dr. Dan L. Perry, Jr., and his daughter-in-law JoDee Wagner. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joseph Vincent Perry, Elizabeth Elaine (Liza) Perry, Charles Phillip Perry, and Ellee Lynn Wagner. As well, he is survived by his brothers and sisters: Carl Wagner, Mandy Wagner, Elaine Wagner, and Herbert Wagner. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Julia Wagner and his brother Chris Wagner and his sister Amy Loretta Bower. He leaves behind many loving nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. Joe began his education at Little Flower Catholic School and graduated from St. Bernard Seminary. He attended Spring Hill College and graduated from the University of South Alabama. Joe was a Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient who served in the Navy as a linguist. Joe worked as an accountant and CFO for several companies in the shipping industry and retired as the comptroller of Pioneer Pool Products. Joe was a loving husband, daddy, brother, and friend. And also, he was the best grandfather ever. He will be greatly missed by his numerous family members, favorite golf buddies, and countless friends. A wake will be held at Radney Funeral Home on 3155 Dauphin Street on Tuesday, January 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 11, at 10:00 A.M. at Little Flower Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be offered in his memory to Little Flower Church. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
