Joe Walvis

June 13, 1945 - December 27, 2015 Joe WALVIS, Sr. passed away on December 27, 2015 at the age of 70. He was born on June 13, 1945 in Amsterdam, Holland. A longtime resident of Mobile, AL. Joe's priorities in life were his faith, family and friends. A loving and generous husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed a very successful career at The Westward Group, Inc. which he started 31 years ago. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Sal and Regina Walvis, Max Aldewereld and Lex Aldewereld. Survivors include his wife, Karon F. Walvis (Midge), his sister, Anneke Cohen, children, Scott Weschler (Karyn), Sandra O'Reilly (Brian), Michael Walvis, Garret Gervais, Alicia Walvis Theriot and Joe Walvis Jr. (Jessica). Grandchildren, Amber Senn, Katelyn Senn, Lauren Walvis, Juliana Theriot and Joe Walvis III and great grandchild, Zoey Breland, nieces and nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be on Monday, January 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at Knollwood Church 1501 Knollwood Drive Mobile. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Funeral Home 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile where Joe will be laid to rest.
