Joel Christopher Moore

Joel Christopher Moore – a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the age of 47.

He graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration and later worked as a Real Estate Officer for Mobile County. He was also a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he formerly served as a CCD instructor.

Joel was hard-working and dependable; fun-loving and full of life; generous and thoughtful—a true friend that was always available to give advice, lend a helping hand, or provide a shoulder to lean on. He touched the hearts of many and was a blessing to all who knew him.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Kimberly (Bryant) Moore; adoring daughter, Taylor Moore; parents, Gerald & Lyn (McCay) Moore; brother, Jeffery Moore; sister-in-law, Bridget (Foster) Moore; nephews, Christian Moore, Jordan Moore, and Adam Moore; as well as many other relatives and cherished friends.

Visitation will be at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary School Athletic Booster Club (107 North Lafayette Street Mobile, AL 36604).
