On March 3rd at 10:15 AM John (JACK) Coleman quietly passed away at the age of 87. John (JACK) Coleman was born May 4, 1926 in Bastrop Louisiana to Maggie Mae Moore and Charles Kingsland Coleman. Jack retired from International Paper Company in Prichard, Al. after over 40 years. He continued to work with BE&K until Mildred said; “We are retiring!”. Jack was a member of The Greatest Generation having served during WWII aboard the battleship USS Iowa in the Pacific and upon discharge; he remained in the Navy Reserves and was recalled during the Korean War. Jack was also a lifelong member of the Masons, Bowen Lodge. Jack is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Vermelle Carney, brother Ira Franklin (Ann) and sister Maxine Williams (David). His children John, Richard, Garry, Mark (Patty) and Evelyn Wagner all of Mobile, Al. Grandchildren Justin and Jordan Coleman in Connecticut, Emily Coleman in South Carolina, Brandon Wolverton in Texas, R. Jon Wagner in North Dakota, Coleman Wagner in Mobile, AL.
