John Edward Deneke, age 57, was born and raised in Mobile, AL.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Edward Deneke. He is survived by his mother, Betty H. Deneke, and his sisters, Janna Lyons (Sam), Susan Robbins (Ben); nieces and nephews, Morgan Wilson (Jason), Jonathan Lyons (Allison), William Robbins, and Rebecca Robbins.

He is also survived by his great-nephews and nieces, Caleb Wilson, Madelyn Wilson, Hatch Lyons, and Ward Lyons.

John loved his family, his music, good food, and Mardi Gras.

We offer our deepest love and appreciation for all the staff and nurses at his group home, who loved and cared for him as if he were their own. They are truly dedicated to the calling to care for the least among us.

Visitation will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 11:30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon.

Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monsignor Murphy Annual Fund for Education at St. Dominic Catholic School at 4160 Burma Rd, Mobile, AL 36693.
