Mr. John Davis Drake, Jr. – a native of Mobile born to John and Mika Drake on January 15, 1982, departed this life on October 15, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ross and Elizabeth Drake. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Mika Drake; his brother, Kenny (Ann) Sands; his sister, Tina (Trey) Laubenthal; his nephew, Brandon Sands; nieces, Kathy Ellen and Mia Sands, Alayna Laubenthal; his uncle, Ross (Elaine) Drake, Jr.; his aunts, Elizabeth Dumas, Mary (Greg) Hahn, and Catherine Drake; and his cousins, Michael Dumas and Elizabeth (Donald) Holyfield. Johnny worked for Cheramie Marine and loved working at sea. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 18, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army’s Dauphin Way Lodge of Mobile.
