John David Glenn

Mr. John David Glenn, native of Hartsville, SC and longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away at his home on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Ray Gibson Glenn. Mr. Glenn retired as a Mechanical Engineer after 41 years of service with International Paper Company. He was a lifelong member of the Winya Masonic Lodge 40 of Georgetown, SC and a longtime member of Government Street Baptist Church. His love of family and friends was boundless. He will be remembered for his graciousness and love of all. Mr. Glenn is survived by his children, Karen Holloway (Lewis) and David Glenn (Linda). He is also survived by his sister, Annette Glenn King, three grandchildren, Trey, Luke and Josh Holloway, and special niece, Kimberly King Dixon. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Oakleigh Chapel on Friday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
