John Henry Lamey Jr.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jon Lamey. He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Madelaide Lamey.

He was a native of Dauphin Island, AL and a resident of Alabama Port. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2734 and a retired member of Boiler Makers Local 112.

He is survived by sons, Gerald (Linda) Lamey, Gary (Kathleen) Lamey, Randy Lamey, and Robert "Buster" (Kristy) Lamey; one daughter, Carla Lamey; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Patsy Venus.

His passions were God, Family and friends. He was an avid political supporter and worked tirelessly for his community.

Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Monday, March 19, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church Parish Hall, Heron Bay, AL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from St. Michael Catholic Church, Heron Bay. Interment will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Coden, AL.
