John Johnny Warren Morgan Sr.

Arrangements under the direction of Pine Crest Funeral Home, MOBILE, AL.June 20, 1926 - February 20, 2015 The love of my life for almost 63 years, John Warren Morgan Sr., left us today, February 20, 2015, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by his loving family. Johnny was born June 20, 1926 to Margaret and John Morgan in Laurel, Ms. He is survived by his wife, Mary Helveston Morgan, his son John Morgan, Jr., his daughter, Susan Nettles (D.J. Dantis), a daughter-in-law Doanie L. Morgan, and two very special grandsons, Paul A. Jones and Paul's precious angel, Angela McNair, and Doanie's beautiful son Christopher J. Morgan, and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his son, Craig D. Morgan, and sisters Helen Zirlott, Ann Duke and Johnnie Mae Johnson. A veteran of WWII, and two stints during the Korean war, he was a proud life member of the VFW. John was a member of Sage Avenue Baptist Church where he was fully dedicated to helping supply the food pantry to help others in need. His funeral will be at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway on Monday February 23, 2015. Family time will be at 12 noon, visitation at 1:00 pm, with a graveside service at 2:00 pm.
