

Johnny Floyd Moncrief Sr. was born August 16, 1942 in Bay Springs, Mississippi to the late Lillie Evans Moncrief and the late Earl Lee Moncrief Sr.
He was raised with his 7 siblings by a loving mother. He united in holy matrimony to Emily Theresa Singleton Moncrief on January 27, 1967 and within this union six children were born.
Moncrief preceded in death by his father (Earl Lee Sr.), mother (Lillie), 5 siblings: James, Bennie Lee, Earl Lee Jr., Melvin, Corrine, and his loving wife (Emily).
Moncrief retired from BLP Paint Company as a supervisor after 30 plus years of service. He gave his life to Christ and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church and attended services at Cedar Park Baptist Church. Moncrief spent many hours volunteering and helping out in his community. Moncrief was a natural sportsman and enjoyed playing/winning in tennis tournaments, fishing and golfing.
Moncrief leaves to cherish his fond memories: his seven children; Chris Hosea of Theodore, AL; Zina Valrie of Hinesville, GA; Johnny Floyd (Stacey) Moncrief Jr of Mobile, AL; Dr. Nedra (Bryant) Moncrief-Craig of Hoover, AL; Byron (Tiuandra) Moncrief of Kathleen, GA; Earkia Moncrief of Mobile, AL; and Artemus (Joyce) Moncrief of Mobile, AL.
Fifteen grandchildren: Chris Jr, Ardryell Oliver, Artavius Valrie, Akeshia Valrie, Michelle Craig, Johnny F. Moncrief III, Artemus Moncrief Jr, Bronson Moncrief, Desmond Moncrief, Tiffany Craig, Cameron Moncrief, Erin Moncrief, Asa Moncrief, Byron Moncrief Jr, and Gabriel Moncrief.
Six great grandchildren: Dontae’vious, Kyng, Alexa, Paisley, Reign and Artemus III.
His sister Gloria Jean Wash and brother Judge Moncrief, his loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
