Jolene Ann Allen, 74, returned to her heavenly home on February 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Evans Holyoak and Dorothy Irene Dobay Holyoak, a sister, Judy Kemp, and her husband Lloyd E. Allen. She is survived by her children, Stephanie (Ted) Graham, Kirk (Daphne) Allen, Chris (Keli) Allen, Stacie (Mark) Constantine, and Storrie (Glynn) Smith, along with 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, who affectionately called her “JoJo”, Grams, and Crazy Jo.
Ever the eternal optimist, Jolene was a light to all whom met her. Greeted by smiles, hugs and vigorous handshakes, she would light up the room with her smile and contagious energy. She is an accomplished pianist and organist and played for church, weddings and filled her home with the sounds of ivory tinkling. JoJo is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held a strong conviction of loving one another and doing good for all. Charity was her motto; she lived by example and desired to serve until her final breath. She loved her work of 30 years with New York Life Insurance and her many colleagues, whom she considered her extended family.
Services will be held in the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5520 Zeigler Blvd, Mobile, AL on Monday, February 11, 2019. Visitation will be from 12pm – 2pm and the service starting at 2pm. Radney Funeral Home – Mobile, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606, is assisting the family with the services.
