Mr. Joseph Glyn Beasley, Sr. – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at age 85 in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Hillman Beasley; four children, Charlene Sewell, Gloria Jean Beasley, Joseph Glyn (Trina) Beasley, Jr., and Carl Jackson Beasley; three sisters, Esther Thompson, Jeanette Davis, and Glenda Douglas; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, August 5, 2011 from Moffett Road Baptist Church. Mr. Beasley will be taken to the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West, on Snow Road.
