
Joseph Edwin “Uncle Bubba” Farnell, age 97, born in Mobile, AL, lived in the Navco Road area all his life. He died July 30, 2012 at a local nursing home. Edwin was a retired Postal Service manager, and a deacon who was active in Zion Baptist and Manor Baptist churches. Uncle Bubba’s Godly guidance and love influenced the lives of many. He will be missed but we celebrate his living years and the impact he made on others. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lazette Howard Farnell; his parents, Matt and Dorothy Farnell; his brother, Marshall W. Farnell; and his sister, Lillian Farnell. He is survived by his sister, Lois (William) Ramey; nieces, Decca (Gary) Jackson and Kathyrn (Ron) Bautsch; nephews, Bill (Angela) Ramey, Raymond (Mary) Farnell, and Kevin (Rose)Farnell; sister-in-law, Carolyn G. Farnell; step-children, Billy(Anne) Howard, Robert (Brenda) Howard and Mary Anetia (Henry) Bosarge; and grand children, grand nieces, grandnephews, great-grandchildren, and two great, great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Saturday, August 11, 2012, from 12 p.m. until the 2 p.m. chapel funeral service.
