Joseph Vincent Fisher, Jr.

Joseph Vincent Fisher, Jr. - age 85; a native of Mobile, Alabama and a resident of Semmes, Alabama died Friday, January 22, 2021 in a local hospital. Mr. Fisher was a member of Semmes First Baptist Church, retired with the rank of Captain from the United States Marine Corps, active in the Seaman's Ministry, and retired from the Mobile County School Board. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Fisher and Troy Fisher; two step-sons, Randy Dodd and Timothy Dodd; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Fisher and CarolAnn Fisher; one brother-in-law, Ron Hester; and one granddaughter, Amber Fisher. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary A. Fisher; his children, Joseph Fisher, III, David Fisher, Paula Johnson (Billy), and Kathy Warlick; his step-children, Arleen Himes (Mel), Kathy Rives (Larry), George Dodd, and Phillip Dodd (Lisa); four brothers, Jimmy Fisher (Jimmie Carol), Herbert Fisher (Pam), Louie Fisher (Peggy), and George Fisher; his sister, Margie Hester; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Fisher; his cousin, Nita King; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
