Josephine Myrtle Jefferson

Josephine M. Jefferson – a 72 year-old resident of Mobile passed away at her home on Monday, February 4, 2013. She retired from the Mobile County Public School System after 12 years of service. Mrs. Jefferson was a longtime faithful member of United Calvary Pentecostal Church who loved spending time with her grandchildren and camping. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Alton R. Jefferson, Sr. Mrs. Jefferson is survived by her children, Judy Hale, Cynthia Muracki, and Alton R. Jefferson, Jr. (Paula); brothers, Jerry Davis (Dee) and Larry Davis (Margaret); 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 6, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
