Juanita Clark Purvis

Juanita C. Purvis, 89, born January 4, 1928 in Preston, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Providence Hospital, Mobile, Alabama. Mrs. Purvis was a retired Kindergarten teacher and a lifelong Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Purvis was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Woodrow Purvis; a son Ronald Purvis, her parents, Jasper and Eva Clark; three brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are her children, Royce Purvis of Mobile, Al., Shirley (Don) Herring of Bluffton, SC., Karen (Dale) Rhodes of Mobile, AL., Jean Matheson of Mobile, AL. and Linda (Jack) Sikes of Mobile, AL.; her brother, Virgil (Phyllis) Clark; 8 grandchildren, Ashley (Thomas) Parsons, Ronda (Joe) Moreland, Natalie (Jacob) Boyd, Nick (Rachel) Purvis, Chad (Rachel) Herring, Haley (Cam) Norris, Mary Claire Sikes and Jessica Purvis and 13 great grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Orchard Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be held at 4 pm on Monday, October 30, 2017 in Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Preston MS.
