
Judith C. Fletcher born September 24, 1933 in Mobile, AL passed away January 21, 2015 peacefully at home. Anyone who knew Judy knows two facts; first she was a loving and caring wife, mom and grandmother. She carried her two sons to football, baseball and basketball games throughout park, junior high and high school. She was their biggest supporter which helped influence them both throughout their lives. Second, she was a sports fan who loved bowling and won the amateur bowlers trophy of the Mobile Pro- Am. Moreover she would watch every sport from football to hockey and was knowledgeable of the teams and players. Later in life she loved her dogs, plants and bird watching.
She was a member of Hollinger’s Island Baptist Church; also she was a graduate of Murphy High School class of 1950. She was a member of Krafty Kritters, and the Mobile Depression Glass Club. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Vivian McConnell and husband of 59 years, Jesse David Fletcher. She is survived by her two sons, Barry S. Fletcher (Elaine Lewis) and Toby Fletcher (Debbie), her grandchildren; Laura Ansley (Jacob), Jacquelyn Parker (Ryan), Elizabeth Taylor (Josh), David Fletcher (Danielle) and John-Joseph Fletcher, her great grandson, Halleck Ansley , her brother-in-law Randall Fletcher(Dorothy) and other relatives. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Sonia Crawford for her loving care and friendship shown to their mom for the past eight years. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 24,2015 from 12pm to 2p at Pine Crest Funeral Home followed by graveside service at 2pm. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Pine Crest Funeral Home, Mobile, AL.
