Julia Adell Mitchell Praytor

Julia Adell Mitchell Praytor- a 101 year-old native of Bolling, Alabama and longtime resident of Mobile passed away on November 10, 2022. She moved to Mobile after graduation from high school and worked for the Alabama State Docks. She married George Praytor in 1952, and they moved to Louisville, Kentucky. After her husband’s death in 1960, Mrs. Praytor returned to Mobile and was employed by the Morrison Food Company until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas Praytor, Jr., along with many other family members. Mrs. Praytor is survived by nieces and nephews: Gene Mitchell (Norma), Mary Ann Walker (Wally), Lyn Oberkirch (Fred), Robert Praytor, Diane Yancey (Ron), and Pam Terrell (Jim), as well as many other loving great-nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held from Kingswood United Methodist Church at 5200 Perin Road, Mobile, Alabama on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
