Julius Charles Eardley

Julius Charles Eardley- a 90 year-old native of Belleville, IL and longtime resident of Mobile passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. A seven year veteran of the United States Navy, he served in World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Eardley, a career aircraft mechanic, retired from civil service and Teledyne-Continental Motors.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Eardley. Mr. Eardley is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Gloria Green Eardley; children, Larry Eardley (Gail), Catherine Hudson (Randy), Linda Eardley Hatcher (Charlie), Steve Eardley (Lila), and Tommy Eardley; brother, Sonny Eardley (Betty); 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the paramedics and staff of Saad’s for all of their caring assistance.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
