June Lemmel Merklin

June Merklin – age 86, born in Brady, NE and a resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. She was an avid golfer and member of Skyline Country Club for many years. She loved to cook and entertain, especially for her family. Mrs. Merklin was preceded in death by her husband, M. George Merklin; parents, Phil and Lida Lemmel; one brother, Don; and two sisters, Geraldine and Helen. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela McLeod. She was a loving grandmother to Darrell Mims (Page), Carrie M. Hagen, (Ryan), and Rhett McLeod, and great-grandmother to Madeline Paul, Gavin Mims, Christian Coggin, Abigail Hagen, and Garrett McLeod. Survivors also include her brother, Jim Lemmel; sister, Betty Lyon; many other relatives and friends. Her memory will be forever cherished. Roll Tide! The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Mobile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all of their care and support. Graveside services will be held in Mobile Memorial Gardens on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
