Kathleen M Garner

Kathleen M. Garner - a resident of Mobile, AL died Monday, September 2, 2013 in a local health care facility. She retired from Social Security Administration and worked for years at the Mobile County Public Library. She was a member of Airport Boulevard Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elisha and Lula Mae Smith; her husband, Clyde Garner; son, Gwilyn "Gil" Johnson, Sr.; three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include a sister, Iva Gray (T.C.) , a brother, Willie Voncel Smith (Rojean); her daughter-in-law, JoAnn "Jodie" Johnson; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Airport Boulevard Baptist Church, 6301 Airport Blvd., Mobile, AL 36608, or to Camp Whispering Pines, 7740 Union St., Citronelle, AL 36522.
